One of the, if not the best burger in East Bay. Everything always comes out hot, fresh, and fairly quickly. The burger is huge, and I always split one with my partner. A lovely outdoor dining space with fast service. Ranch sauce- will hit the spot if you're a ranch lover. Delivers on the signature garlic and onion ranchy kick A+ burger- look at that beautiful cross section. The eggplant blends beautifully into the burger, and well balanced with fresh veggies. It's a messy burger, but so worth it. Green bean fries- I typically really enjoy these fries, but the order tonight was not up to their typical standard. The coating is typically light and the green beans are very intact. This order of green bean fries was a dark fry with overfried green beans and a thicker coating. Hopefully this was just a one off, because they're typically spectacular!

Came on Sunday the 22nd of September, right at noon, parked right in front, the lovely young lady showed us the menu to our right, she explained a few items, told us her favorites & we ordered. Be prepared this business does not take cash, so if you order, make sure your side dips & everything you want to order is going to be paid without cash. It took about 10minutes for our order, which is perfectly fine for me in a burger spot like this because you know your order is going to be made to order! We both got the A+ burger, one order of Onion Rings , one order of Sweet Potato Fries, & one Mango Lemonade, over $50 bucks. Plus tip. The burgers were both cooked to perfection, we asked for Medium, the Sweet potato Fries were very good the Mango Lemonade, had me wanting more , the only complaint would be only 8 onion rings! & a few of them shouldn't have counted, they were too small. The onion rings were good not too much coating, they were perfect , just not enough quality for the price. The A + burger is huge, both my daughter & I thought we might get lock jaw attempting to get a bite of it! Overall I might come back & just order a cheeseburger if I'm in the area, this definitely is one of the better burgers I've had in Oakland.

Overshadowed by overgrown trees and the more prominent signage of the neighboring Saysetha Thai restaurant, this burger spot could easily be bypassed if you weren't looking for it. Fortunately we were on the hunt for a casual bite after a round at the White Horse Inn up Telegraph. This is definitely a reasonably satisfying and thoughtful alternative to the greasier Smokehouse (review: https://yelp.to/nmvCfijAOK). Ironically neither of us had a burger. I came closest by ordering the $9.99 Patty Melt which had an Angus beef patty, grilled onion and mushrooms, cheddar and Swiss cheese, and 1000-island dressing encased in slices of marble rye bread (photo: https://yelp.to/kmFKYiXFW5). That was pretty tasty. Reminded me of the patty melts I used to get in high school at Denny's. Jamie went for the $10.99 Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich. It was a big breast grilled and packed into a Dutch crunch roll with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and Provolone cheese (photo: https://yelp.to/3vctMltLhW). The poultry was pretty juicy. We shared the $5.99 order of Onion Rings which were few but huge and crunchy, nicely complemented by a sour cream dipping sauce (photo). There was quite a bit of patio seating although it looked like 90% of the customers ordered takeout. FOOD - 4 stars...quite satisfying comfort food AMBIANCE - 4 stars...simple and comfortable SERVICE - 4 stars...pretty quick and well executed TOTAL - 4 stars...a very hidden burger joint RELATED - Exploring Oakland? I just had a delicious A1 burger and garlic fries. I looked it up and saw an outside dining area that seemed cute. I couldn't begin to finish the burger but I'm sure it will be just the right size for a bigger, more active person.

Got a cheeseburger, regular fries and a Coke. Just look at the perfection in my picture. Juicy patty cooked medium, generous portions of tomatoes and crisp lettuce and a classic Thousand Island sauce- they have perfected the classic cheeseburger here. The first bite was *perfect* and I didn't speak a word for the rest of my meal. Of course, you also have to have perfect fries at a burger joint. Yup. They do. I don't know how they get these fries so crisp but I have to say the fries match the hype of the burger. I was jealous of my partner's garlic fries though, so don't resist like I did or you'll regret it. Abso-fucking-lutely delicious!!!! Also- the best burgers I've had have been from grimy looking diners, so it was a really nice surprise to walk into a very clean interior with neat tables and chairs!

My #1 go to are their garlic fries. Whatever the process is keep doing it. They're always crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and perfectly seasoned. Yumm! The ranch dressing is really good, too. I try to avoid dairy but I make an exception for their ranch. I've ordered all of the plant-based sandwiches. I appreciate the variety. With the eggplant sandwich I wish they have the option to negate the honey sauce. It's good but I don't want sweet all of the time. In fact it would be nice if you all offered mustard on the menu. My favorite plant-based sandwich is the garden burger. The impossible burger is also good but it's so expensive. One of the standouts of the sandwiches are the super fresh veggies. It makes me wish that you all offered meat-less salads as entrees. A big fresh salad and garlic fries would be the ultimate. I usually order through DoorDash for delivery or pickup so I cannot really speak to service and ambience.

I came here with my mom and the kids after a late night walk around Temescal. They wanted Denny's, but I abhor it. Still feeling like a burger, we came by A+ because I've been here before and have always had great food. The kids had cheeseburgers and fries on lovely fluffy buns. The burger comes with lettuce and tomato, which I forgot to remove from my nieces' burgers. Mom had an Asian inspired salad and loved how it had a plethora of peanuts and a delicious housemade sauce. I had the bibimbap and was disappointed without the bulgogi. Nevertheless, the grilled chicken was a great and flavorful alternative. The egg was perfectly medium and the veggies tasted super fresh. We were accompanied by a friend who had a lettuce-wrapped teriyaki burger. They also loved their meal and were happy they accommodated the request. Our party or 7 was able to sit in the large table and we were able to finish most of the food before the kids got fussy. They also seem to have expanded into a small nook by the exterior entryway. A+ Burger has an array of food options that I appreciate. I hope they expand to a bigger location!

I've been ordering a LOT of Uber Eats lately but that's another story. Anyhoo, ordered from A+ last night -and as a vegetarian/pescatarian, it's nice to have options when you want a good burger. I ordered the Impossible burger with cheese and the onion rings. Oh mylanta! The onion rings were super crispy (a definite plus) and came with a side of creamy ranch for dipping. The portion size of the burger surprised me- it was big for me so I ate half. I'll demolish the rest today. Very tasty- I'd definitely order from here again. No pictures of the mass destruction I created- next time.

On a rainy afternoon, we were craving for burgers, and lucky this location was recommended to us! Despite that they're only outdoor seating, and their electric heaters don't work, the burgers truly lived up their A+ name! The A+ burger was packed with a lot of flavors and the California burger was more like your standard burger. The price of the burger was definitely worth it! The size, the texture, the flavor everything came together really deliciously; super affordable as well! I would definitely come back again to try their other burgers; they had a Korean fusion one (Korean BBQ Burger), which sounds interesting! I love how they support local bakers as well; they had yummy delicious for sale, but I was too full to order. If you can't drive to this location, they also partner with UberEats, so you can get your burgers and fries delivered!
